Photos of the 2020-2021 guild year officers are shown below.

Mary Arter, President and November Fest Chair.
My grand project is a Dear Jane quilt, inspired by the two-fabric Dear Jane shown by our speaker last October, Laura Fraga. I have finished the center blocks and am working on the border triangles. I have decided that I will hand quilt it once the top is together.

Janet Smith, 1st VP - Programs.
Currently I am working on my inventory for my new Shopify site. I am concentrating on cork bags.

Vivien Hawker, 1st VP - Membership.
Here's my design board at the moment and it's all houses. I'm working on a BOM from Starry Night Hollow and and a Paper piece house quilt using Kaffe Fasset fabrics.

Nancy Pestal, 3rd VP - Facilities, November Fest Raffle Baskets, and Philanthropy.
My two-year project almost ready for the quilter after many hours this past week. Most complex quilt I have made. Enjoyed the process although borders were frustrating getting them to fit. I'm not a detailed cutter - oh darn!

Deanne Meidell, Secretary.
I am having fun with Laura Heine's pattern "The Dress." I am making her Mother Nature and am currently trying to incorporate some cute owls sitting on flowering branches. My granddaughter loves her bird's nest hair (so do I!).

Nancy Ota, Treasurer.
These past months have been spent making face masks. The most interesting ones I made were for the Marines living next door. Jake and his friends are stationed at Camp Pendleton. I asked for old fatigues to cut up to make masks. Jake insisted on giving me a brand new one. It was stiff and heavy and similar in weight to jeans material. Bud took it apart and I washed it to shrink and soften. I lined it with a soft batik and was able to get 17 masks from one pair of pants. I used the Dora Cary pattern. The wire nose were made from disposable aluminum pans and from 18 gauge wire. The inside "filter" was non woven interfacing. Thanks to Mary Freedman for coordinating this project for Camp Pendleton, and for she and Philanthropy for supplying me with the much needed elastic. It has been interesting searching my stash and making many fun masks as I think about the person who might enjoy wearing them, fun and silly prints all the way to silk Chinese brocade.

Vickie Janis, Block of the Month.
I am working on the 2020-2021 Block of the Month.

Janis Toman, Block of the Month.
I am currently working on Bumblebee Blossoms - a pieced quilt by Krista Moser.

Sheri Hill, Monthly Mini and PHD Coordinator.
The attachment is my BOM for this year. Have worked on finishing it, decided not to use the same border, so it isn't really a "legal" 2019-20 BOM. Got to practice my free motion quilting though. I love the turquoise/blue background!

Nancy Northrup, Monthly Mini.2019-2020 Block of the Month.

Debbie Myers, Newsletter Editor.
This is from a pattern, called Hoops, by Aardvark Quilts that I purchased at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in Oregon last year. I have finished four blocks-a trial run to see if I wanted to commit to this quilt as it's all hand-applique. If it looks familiar, the finished quilt was featured in the latest issue of Quilts and Crafts Simply Moderne. In the photo below, I am auditioning backgrounds and you can start to see the possibilities of this design. It's slow going though.

Linda Chiu, Philanthropy.
My first project was to finish the Paintbrush pattern by Colourwerks. I've also made over 200 Masks for family/neighbors/friends/Marines/nurses/etc.
My daughter is expecting our first boy in the family on June 1, so I made a baby carrier for her 5 year old…I tried it out on the bear. I also made some baby quilts and burp cloths.

Mary Harrigan, Welcoming/Friendship.
This is a "crazy" quilt made from a variety of similarly sized scraps my daughter brought home years ago. Little by little I've been using the fabric in a variety of configurations, limited somewhat by their small size and color palette. I have just started to hand quilt it.

Judy Kamman, Bus Trips.
Here's a photo of my current quarantine project I've been taking a break from making masks. This will be a pillow from a Windy Williams pattern called Baby Blooms. I have a lot more hand stitching to do and embroidery to attach my blooms it's a slow process but I'm enjoying it.

Holly Betz, Let's Get to Know.
This is the first of 3 blocks in all Kaffe fabric for a wall hanging. I'm adding a crazy quilt border to them with lots of threads, trims, and buttons.

Michelle Howe, Retreat and Web Mailing.
I am quilting this queen size quilt on my domestic Juki machine. It may look like appliqué, but it is all pieced with a few details fused on. I am about 3/4 of the way done, but miles to go yet.
