Philanthropy

The Philanthropy group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10 AM - 2 PM at: The Center for Spiritual Living, 1201 Puerta del Sol, San Clemente, CA. Parking is available.

We provide quilts and pillowcases for the community shelters, Marine baby showers, Meals on Wheels programs, and local hospitals. Quilts are what we call 'Lap sized'. Not too big but just enough to be a warm hug and hopefully put a smile on the face of children, teens or adults in the area.

We welcome sewers of all skill levels. You can participate in any phase of the quilt making process: sew, sort fabric, cut pieces for patterns/kits, find backs for the beautiful tops, and make binding for the quilts, and/or quilt a quilt. We also cut fabrics for Fat Quarter sales at the monthly general meeting. Bring your machine if you want to sew. We encourage you to come and work on what you like best. Completed quilts are always welcome as are donations of fabric and batting. The Philanthropy group is open to everyone in our Guild! We hope to see you at one of our sew days. Bring your lunch and join us for a visit anytime.
